Rule 1: This prize draw is open to UK residents only and must be aged 18 years or over (a “Qualifying Entrant”). Only Qualifying Entrants may enter the prize draw. Entry is not restricted to customers of the Promoter. By taking part in this promotion, all Qualifying Entrants must accept these terms and conditions.
Rule 2: Employees of Avis Budget EMEA Limited, Avis Budget Group Inc. (“Avis”) and their subsidiaries, agencies and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion, their employees or family members of such employees may not participate in this prize draw.
Rule 3: Only one entry to the prize draw per reservation is permitted by each Qualifying Entrant, throughout the Promotion Period.
Rule 4:Entry Method: Each time you make an eligible and approved car rental reservation during the Promotion Period on www.ba.com (the “Website”) you will automatically receive one (1) entry in the prize draw. An approved reservation is defined as: a car rental reservation made and pre-paid by a British Airways Executive Club Member with Avis on www.ba.com during the Promotion Period, for a minimum of 2 days, and a minimum car group C, for collection and return between 1 October 2017 and 31 January 2018 at any rental location worldwide. Participants must ensure that their British Airways Executive Club membership number is entered in the reservation.
Adjustment transactions, and other similar fees and charges are not eligible for prize draw entry. Entries resulting from purchases made with lost, cancelled, stolen or fraudulent checks, debit and/or credit cards are void. Incomplete, cancelled and/or declined reservations will not count as an entry. All entries become the Promoter’s property and will not be returned or acknowledged.
Rule 5: The prize draw promotion begins at 00:01 on 1 October 2017 and ends at 23.59 on 31 October 2017 (the “Promotion Period”). Any entry received by the Promoter after this time and date will not be entered into the prize draw. The Promoter does not represent, warrant or guarantee the availability of (i) any website or computer system in its custody or control or belonging to any third party or (ii) any telecommunications systems necessary for accessing any Promoter website or computer system. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for entries lost, damaged, defaced, illegible, incomplete or delayed regardless of cause whether delayed in the post or incomplete due to systems failure, or for entries not received or incompletely received due to traffic congestion, unauthorized human intervention, failure of computer or telecommunications systems or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information or the failure to capture any such information. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds (a) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of this draw (b) to be acting in violation of these rules (c) to be acting otherwise than in good faith or (e) to have provided any false or misleading information as part of the process of entering the draw.
Rule 6: The prize draw will take place on or before 30 November 2017. The winners will be selected at random from the eligible entries and the judge's decision is final. The selection of the winner shall be monitored by Mr. Steven Friedman, Chartered Accountant, who is an independent observer. The Promoter shall, within one (1) week of selection of the winners, write to the winners by email or registered post at the address supplied notifying the prize draw outcomes. To claim the prizes the winners must, within one month of receiving such notification from the Promoter, provide written evidence of their residency, age and British Airways Executive Club membership. The successfully claimed prize will be awarded to the respective winner’s British Airways Executive Club membership account within 8 weeks of winner validation.
Rule 7: The name of the winners will, for a period of two months after the draw date, be published and distributed on the website set out in Rule 4.
Rule 8: There will be 20 prizes of 10,000.
No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. Avios are issued and redeemed in accordance with British Airways Executive Club Terms and Conditions. Reward Flights are subject to availability. Taxes, fees and carrier charges apply. Additional administrative costs may apply. This prize is strictly non-transferable and may only be awarded to the person named as the winner. The prize cannot be sold for cash, or other consideration, or auctioned on the internet. No change or credit will be given on any unused portion of the prize. It is up to the winner to decide how they want to redeem their Avios – please check www.ba.com for more information on redeeming Avios on flights. Taxes and fees associated with redemption are not included. If redeeming Avios on flights, flights are subject to availability and capacity control. It is possible that the flight may be fully booked for redemption bookings, even though other seats are still available in the same cabin. The promoter does not accept any responsibility if the winners cannot book their preferred flights. When redeeming Avios on flights the winner is responsible for supplying valid passports and visas and getting inoculations that may be required to visit their destination. The promoter recommends that all passengers consider travel and medical insurance before any flight. Once Avios have been redeemed, neither the Promoter nor the Supplier is responsible for any charges incurred if booking amendments/cancellations are required. The prize cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or certificate. Other restrictions may apply. The Promoter reserves the right to provide substitute prizes of a similar value if the specified prize becomes unavailable for any reasons beyond its control.
Rule 9: The winner may be requested to take part in publicity resulting from this promotion without further compensation.
Rule 10: The rules and any dispute or difference relating to them shall be governed by the laws of England.
Rule 11: Personal data will be taken where necessary from all entries received but shall be limited to those details reasonably necessary for the administration of the competition. This information may be shared with any other third parties reasonably involved in the competition without liability to the Promoter or such third parties. All information you provide on 'entry' will be held on a Promoter’s database. From time to time the Promoter may wish to use your name and address to send you information on Avis products and promotions that may interest you.
Rule 12: Please direct any queries or complaints regarding this prize draw to the Promoter at the address set out at the end of these Prize Draw Rules. Upon receipt of a query or complaint, the Promoter customer services team will deal with the matter.
Rule 13: The Promoter has the right to vary the prize or withdraw the prize or cancel or postpone the promotion at his discretion.
